Proton has shown that the MEM (Mellors Elliot Motorsport) built Satria Neo-Racer, the Satria Neo Super 2000, will participate in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The new car was a rally was at the Festival Rally Show, which took place on 6 and 7 June. Both MEM and Proton have also confirms driver line-up, two British Rally Guy Wilks Wilks and Phil Pugh as co-pilot. The Proton Satria Neo Super 2000 is a 2.0-liter engine, 278HP Renault, the from 1.8-liter Renault 
unit in the production of Proton WAJA 1.8 x. The managing director of Proton, Dato 'Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir, said that "We are very pleased that the leadership of Guy Wilks proton on IRC. After his superb performance in the recent Pirelli Rally, we are positive in terms of our ability to create a solid challenge. MEM has done an excellent job with the Proton Satria Neo S2000, and we will continue to improve during the year. "The Intercontinental Rally Challenge, the IRC just seven races of the current season, including Belgium Ypres Rally, Rally Russia, Rali Madeira Vingo, Czech Republic, Spain, Rally Sanremo and Scotland. All are asphalt rally, with the exception of Russia and Scotland.
